Syncaila is a specialized, standalone automatic synchronization software designed for video editors and filmmakers to align audio and video footage from multi-camera shoots. It acts as a powerful alternative to native NLE (Non-Linear Editor) syncing tools and legacy programs like Red Giant’s discontinued PluralEyes. Core Features & Technology
Advanced Waveform Analysis: Instead of relying heavily on timecodes (though it supports them when available), it analyzes audio waveforms to match tracks.
Human Logic Emulation: The software uses unique chronological logic algorithms that simulate how a human video editor thinks. It handles file timestamps, shot ordering, and clip sequences intelligently.
No-Audio Smart Placement: If certain cameras record minimal or entirely silent audio, Syncaila uses chronological metadata and timestamps to smartly place those clips where they belong rather than tossing them out.
Parallel Processing: It operates natively on your computer and processes files in parallel, allowing it to accurately align hours of multi-cam footage in just a few minutes or seconds. The XML Round-Trip Workflow
Syncaila runs as a standalone desktop application rather than an in-app plugin. It relies on a fast, 3-step XML round-trip process:
Export: Inside your video editing software, you place your unaligned footage onto a timeline and export it as an XML or AAF file.
Sync: You open the XML file in Syncaila, click “Synchronize”, and let it automatically shuffle the clips into alignment.
Import: You save a new, synced XML file out of Syncaila and import it back into your editor. A cleanly synced timeline instantly populates your program, ready for multicam editing. Supported Video Editing Software
Through its universal format handling (Final Cut Pro XML, AAF, etc.), it plays smoothly with almost all major editing platforms: Syncaila – multi-camera audio and video auto-sync software
